55' Oil Skimming Barge

Our 55’ recovery barge is designed to be towed quickly to a spill site by and vessel of opportunity. Due to its slender shape it can be towed at speeds up to 20-knots. Once at a spill site its onboard oil boom is inflated, deployed, and attached to the skimming end of the barge. The barge then becomes a skimmer utilizing its 3-brush LORI skimmer. The barge is built less than 15 tons and has a 249-barrel
